I can never understand how stage striking works. Like how do you determine order for it and can anyone give easy to understand examples?

Rock paper scissors to determine who strikes first. Your tournament will typically have 5 starter stages, and the order will be listed as 1-2-1 or something similar. This means p1 strikes 1 stage, p2 strikes 2 stages, p1 strikes 1 stage.

If the starters are Lylat, Battlefield, Final Destination, Smashville and Town and City, the conversation might go like this:

"I strike Lylat"
"I strike Battlefield and Smashville"
"Alright, let's go to T&C, I strike FD"

Some tournaments also use either controller port number or tournament seed to determine who strikes first. Just like any drafting/banning phase order, though, different systems will favor different players in the picking order.
