How does Marth go even with MK?

I have heard that Marth can go even at some stages, against MK. But I find that a little hard to believe...I have a bit of bias, and I am not very well aknowledged either. I've certainly seen matches of top-level players like Mr.R, Leon, Mikeneko & Mikehaze doing well and even beating MKs, but I'd like a bit of more detailed, written explanation.

In my opinion, Marth needs to play the MU really well because he'll have to rely alot on perfect spacing since MK's range rivals his', and Marth doesn't seem very reliable at close melee combat in my opinion.

Please correct me if I'm wrong (I'm very sure I am), but I can't point it out.

-1 = beating MK shouldn't be an uncommon occurrence. Either that or the player skill is a bad match or the rating is wrong.

Marth doesn't go even with MK on any stages.
Stop making threads for every single question you have, you can ask questions by posting in other threads you know. I mean I can't imagine a better place to ask this question than the MU chart thread.

Marth does not go even with MK. I could be wrong, but I think marth's biggest strengths in this match up are keeping metaknight on the ledge and the grab releases. Marth also has good tools to beat tornado and nair beats glide attack.

Oh god every time I see MK's grab release referred to it reminds me that we have the worst ground release in the game and a crappy air release.
