How does I use Falco smarter ;_; >_<

Well the first step to play Falco smarter would naturally to become smarter yourself.
Read a book, do some brain training, take up sudoku, chess, or checkers.
Also, try to think really hard whenever you play Falco. Sometimes until your brain hurts.

It works for me.

In the first match you just stayed in G&W's face. Don't do that. Also around 0:55 first match you should've wall jumped not fire bird. Why? Because of the fire bird you saved him. Don't forget about all of the options are present and how you can apply them. Reflector for spacing; Jabs beats side dodges, eats shield, and he can't do anything about it; if you're going to use aerials up close use more Nair(and use it overhead so he can't shield grab); Ftilt for poking and spacing, G&W along with other characters really can't punish Falco's Ftilt and it's so underused, it's a great spacing tool. Also around 1:32 after you lasered the G&W while he was in the air he was vulnerable to an Usmash. You have to learn to capitilize on stuff like that. But other than that, nice double jab to grab and jab mindgames in general. It put the pressure on him and he felt like his options were being limited at those particular moments.

Hyo is right. You can't be a smarter Falco, just a smarter player in general. Learn from mistakes and increase your chances of winning with experience.

Hmm, thanks for the advice.

I was wondering about the Falco vs. Marth matchup. Do you have any tips on that for me? There's no way to find it in the matchup thread D:

oh well, Marth has amazing zoning capabilities. He spaces very well and if you're facing a good Marth, you're most likely going to be eating the tip of his sword all game long.

What I would recommend is to not force CG, as he can dolphin slash out of it early, and try to stay out of his zone. Marth has no projectiles, so as long as you camp him (and capitalize on mistakes he makes or opportunities), you have a chance.

Still, Marth gets around our lasers easily and can do a lot more damage than we can do him. He's great off stage too, a place where no Falco likes to be.

It's not impossible, but you've got to play it smart because good Marth mains are.
