How do you pronounce the word "Pokemon"? When I was younger, I pronounced it po-key-mon, but when I started taking French I learned that accent marks have special pronunciation, so I started to pronounce it with the (to me) more accurate po-kay-mon. Those two pronunciations are fine with me, but it really grinds my gears when I hear people pronounce it like po-kuh-mon (this is everywhere on YouTube videos); since it doesn't show up in official Pokemon media.

Po-kay-mon, which is the intended way to pronounce it because of the é.

My username "Kokonoe" has that same pronunciation on the e.

You see this thing? This thing right here? That "é" symbol?

In English that makes the "ay" sound. So it's pronounced "Po-kay-mon." That being said, Po-kuh-mon rolls off the tongue better.

I say Po Kee Mon

I dunno, I think it's just because I've heard it called that more than anything else

I always pronounce it as "Po-kuh-mon," but its official pronunciation is "Po-kay-mon" due to the é.

I feel I'm a little unusual.
My pronunciation is somewhere between ee and ay.
Poh-keh-mon.

Po-Kay-Mon I sometimes say Po-Kuh-Mon but the anime of all things taught me the right way to pounce it Po-Kay-Mon.

I pronounce it like "Po-kuh-mon", but that's just how I've said it all my life.
I do know that it's pronounced as "Po-kay-mon".
I even mispronounce most Pokémon ;;

Its proper pronunciation is po-kay-mon because of the accented é...

If I'm speaking fast it pretty much always comes out po-kuh-mon...

But I'm also the kind of person purposely mispronounces things for teh lulz...'pokeymanz'

I've always said Po- Kee-Mon because I've been watching and playing pokemon since before I knew what the accent mark meant.

At least no one here pronounces it like that Nintendo Europe guy who called them Pok-eh-mon.

It's definitely "po-kay-mon", because of the accented é.

If it was a normal e, it'd be either "po-kuh-mon" or "po-key-mon"; but that accent changes the entire pronunciation.

EDIT: This, of course, means PokéMarts are "po-kay-marts", too.
