How do you keep the chain out when you fall a great distance?

I'm not sure what you mean, though I think constantly shaking the chain will force it to stay out when used in the air.

I never use it for anything, not even to teather.
what i have noticed though (this is not official)
while on the ground and using the chain when
you hold forward i always hit with the strong hit (electricity)
hope that can be useful to anyone
