WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY do people keep asking this?

Click on ANY sticky and it will have been asked several times.

To answer your question, hold down and rest your thumb on Y and A. Then do magic and it works. After you have done it a few times, holding down beforehand will be unnecessary.

Well first of all, bat dropping will probably help you far better than Thunderstorming.

Secondly is thunderstorming really that hard people. I learned it on my first try, using the nun-chucks and to me it feels so easy that I often question how people can find it difficult. These days I just short hop, then immediately press down on the C-stick.

It's so easy.

This isn't the easiest way. This can lead to landing lag too often.

At the OP: Hold down on the control stick. SLIDE your right thumb from Y to A. Repeat once Ganon's feet touch the ground.

What? Just do a buffered SH D-air and be done with it. This isn't Melee, so you can buffer aerials on your jump startup animation before you even leave the ground.

right over there
claw it

when you're ready to storm, tilt your hand so that you can hit Y with your index finger and hit down-c with your thumb.

this is, IMO, the best way to storm, because it not only works every time, but it provides you with full DI

I like how people say "ZOMG ITS SO E-Z!" then we get 7 different ways of doing it, and 3 people arguing that their way is the best.

Just get your timing down using tap jump up, and down on the C-Stick, or go with whatever is most comfortable to you. It doesn't matter how you do it, as long as you do it and do it well after months of practice and blisters.
