Hey, so I have been interested in getting melee mods recently, so I've been following the stickies guides on using texture hacks and codes. I got the textures to work with no problem which I was excited about, so now I want to add some codes (mainly flash red on missed l cancel). I followed the guide, but when I try to launch the game from gecko os I get an error. I'm not sure what to do because I'm not using a melee disc, but an ISO on my sd card. Also, I don't know if this is important but I can play melee through dios mios, but then the codes don't work... any help would be greatly appreciated!

Summary: how do I run melee with codes from an so card using gecko os?

Short answer: You don't.

Longer answer: Gecko OS doesn't support usb loading, or gamecube games. Try using a USB loader such as USB Loader GX with your image.

Don't use GeckoOS. Use CFG Loader. And you can just put the codes in a text file and have it automatically make the .gct file. I'm at work right now, so I can't give specifics, but go to the 20XX thread and look at a comment by nqztv on the very first page.

Thanks for replying, I think I've made the gct file fine, but I'm just having trouble using it with my melee ISO.

I'll try a different loader.
