how do i use custom characters in other modes?

i switched up the specials on several of my characters…how do i use them in other modes? for example, how can i use my custom robin?

can someone help me with this plz

If custom characters are available in a particular mode, there will be a wrench icon in the corner of the character select screen (upper-right, I think). I don't remember which modes allow them, I just know that All Star does not and Classic does.

What modes are you trying to use it in? For example, in 'Smash' mode there should be a button in the top right corner that says Custom Fighters. When you click it to the 'On' position you should see the background of the character selection screen to turn from Yellow/Orange to Blue. Then, when you select your character, an extra menu should pop up on your character's picture on the bottom and then you can just scroll down to the Custom Fighter you wish to use.

As scooter said, there should be a wrench icon that indicates if you have customization turned on or off. It will say "Custom Fighter". When you click on Robin, it will allow for you to choose that custom character. This is only when it's turned on.

Custom fighters are available in multiplayer, some online, and classic mode.
