Well, that was a short but interesting read.

I jjust want to know how a man with a bomb on him could have gotten PAST the security and right into the campaign rooms!

Only in America, I assume. :p

You know, I bet it were dem video games's fault! Mario taught that man how to arm c4!

But seriously, this with robably be resolved without problem and will end up twisted and distorted to fulfill some political agenda, I'm sure.

Well, the guy wasn't really going to hurt anybody. The "bomb" was made with road flares, and he let a mother with her baby out immediately.

This doesn't seem like that big news.

And about security: Hillary wasn't even around at the time.

Just some mentally unstable guy voicing his opinions in a mentally unstable way.

+1 Hilary, war on gaming.

I bet that's what they'll blame this on and they probably won't even mention security once.

You guys exaggerate to the point of lying. Hillary hasn't made any meaningful comments on video games in a long time, it's not part of her campaign or policies at all. I'm not a Hillary follower, but seeing you guys post that just annoys me.

I don't get news from America much here. The last I heard of her was in a gaming magazine months ago.

That's not my entire opinion, but I wasn't born yesterday. Remember Virgina Tech?

The first thing they [politicians] do is look for something to promote their party to get more voters, everything comes after.

Actually, Virginia Tech was surprising because almost no political of any value even touched on the issue of Gun Control. The only controversy that came afterwards is whether or not it could have been stopped and if ABC or whatever should have shown the pictures. Politicians had a surprising moment where they did nothing.

On the video game issue, they're usually brought up in crimes involving teenagers, not dudes in their 40s.

Her people will have to make a statement about it (maybe they already have, according to the article), but I wouldn't put it past Hillary to use this to her advantage and spin it into her "guns off the streets" policy. =/

@Eor: I'm not sure about any other politicians, but Hillary did say stuff about how a background check system for gun purchases could have prevented it, aside from publishing the gun-toting photos or actually mandating the guy some psychiatrist time. I also know that for a long time (and most likely still now) Rudy Giuliani's website didn't even have the words "gun control" on it, but instead "respecting the 2nd amendment" (right to bear arms). Eh, whatever keeps your voters happy.

What about the story with the Pong-paddle murderer? The crazy man digging dugs in the white house lawn? The trucker going around, running over pet frogs? ;)

From what I remember, the place was a storefront campaign office where they prepare stuff like bumper stickers and flyers for distribution, call people for campaign donations, organize campaign visits, and other stuff that can't be done at a statewide/nationwide level. Places like that are like other offices in that they don't have high or even any security at all.

^What TheFifthMan said^.

And what does this mean? The USA is crazier about security then pretty much every other country, if my knowledge is correct.

We spend like 10 times more on our military than the rest of the world combined, right? How can we not be secure?

And yes, this is half-sarcastic.
