Smash Wii U Hopes and wishes for the Smash Wii U nintendo direct (10/23)

FINALLY the direct we need. We are being told about 50 must see things for Smash Wii u. What do you hope to see in this direct???

Id love to see more boss characters, return of stage build, info on the online, the big wii u solo mode, and just more beautiful wii u gameplay

I'll just grab some ointment for the upcoming attack on my anus then.

I would like:
- Explanation of modes
- a look at board game mode
- a look at some stages (not all of them, I want most of them to be a secret.)
- I would like some sort of new character announcement, but I'm not expecting one.
- A look at stage builder.

So Chorus Men is in the game
And by that we mean in the sounds section
So Dixie Kong is in the game
As a Diddy alternate skin
So Mewtwo is in the game
As a trophy
So Ridley is in the game
As a stage hazard.

Oh and Tower of Smash is what I named the menu.


That's what I am expecting.

If any cut character was to come back and announced at the Direct I would hope it was Squirtle, unllikely to happen though :/

Smash World/The Board Game is enough information for me on the Direct though.

I'd mainly like to see confirmation of new characters. I don't have much preference but I'd be sad if it was boring characters like most of SSB4's newcomers were.

If nothing else comes out of the Tower of Smash leak, I'd at least like to see some of those stages. Bramble Blast and Jungle Hijinx ftw

I wouldn't mind a new Kirby stage based on one of the recent Kirby games that came out between Brawl and now being revealed as a new stage.

That means Epic Yarn, Return to Dreamland, and Triple Deluxe mostly.

Well, you seem to be rather new here

It's his signature or "sig". You can put some stuff in it via your profile settings (there's a limit tough) and it will appear under the first post you make for every pages of every threads.

Unless you turned the option to see them off in case I assume you didn't (it's on by default).

Like, myself is an image I made and I just made the image a link so you get to a link if you click on it.

Tough, it has pretty much the same functionality as a post except if you put a big image, it might be cropped (mine is stretched because I think image with links aren't cropped). If you want to be able to have bigger image, you have to buy premium.

I highly doubt a new character will be announced. Sakurai himself said the roster would be the same in both versions.

I think it's a bad idea to get carried away with lofty expectations like new characters. Stages are a given as are the modes. I highly doubt the stuff that'll be revealed will be groundbreaking for people who actively follow Smash news.

I have to disagree with you there, if they aren't going to be showing stage, modes, or other functions, what else would they be other than gameplay? Menus? Smash Run? I think some new stages and modes being revealed should be expected.

Characters on the other hand, as much as everyone wants them, we're most likely not getting any. Better to have low expectations and be joyously surprised with new characters rather than have high expectations and being crushed with no new characters shown.

DLC is gonna happen though. Smash Run U and Knuckles Featuring Dante from Devil May Cry pl0x

But in reality, I would like to see some new stages, more information on the other modes, and maybe a trailer.

I would really like to see more characters / DLC, but I know that's probably not happening.
