Hooking up a console to a PC Monitor (I need information please)

Hi there. We all know that PC monitors are automatic High Def capable, when the right adapters are used in conjunction with your game consoles. The information I'm asking for is how to get a Xbox 360 hooked up via High Def Cables, to a PC monitor. I figured this route would be cheaper than going out and purchasing a High Def TV since my monitor would do nice enough for me. Cheapest/Best solutions and ideas are really welcome, plus this may interest a few other people interested in doing this. Please help me: I need names of products, set up processes, prices, etc.
