Hey guys! I remember the good ole GameFAQs days of spending countless hours working on HRC records. Lets optimize HRC in this game too! =)

There's also the 2-player co-op mode which seems pretty awesome aswell.

Here's my current Ganondorf solo highscore, 11359.3ft.

I think saw this strat on 3DS HRC on YouTube and it works on the Wii U aswell.

Some people have already gone really deep into this mode.

And finally, using the crazy airdodge instant throw stuff (this was in Brawl I guess) you can even break 13k feet with Ganon without the above glitch. I attempted this for awhile but it's quite difficult! I haven't seen this strategy executed properly on Wii U yet but I haven't looked around too deeply.

Yo, glad to see someone's already made a thread and put in some work in terms of developing strats. I was playing some Ganon last week as well. I was only able to get around 6.5k with my strat. I'm gonna give yours a shot when I get back home after this weekend.

It's pretty funny, your Ganon score is really close to the score limit in Melee HRC in 1.1 and 1.2, which was 11347.2 - achievable with only Ganon and IC's (non-TAS). Nice job!

Also, when were you on GameFAQS doing HRC things? I was active up util 2005 I believe. Old tag was td34. Those were the days =P

Lol I was mostly a lurker but I enjoyed following the HRC discussion for a couple years. I only got like 9k ganondorf though, no really notable highscores

The 3ds compilation is simply amazing!

I play HRC a lot in Brawl (I don't have great scores, but I like it), and I'll do the same for SSB4. It's fun that some challenges imply HRC like the one when you must be between 500m and 505m with ROB!

For now my Ganondorf is at 3050m (I think it's 10k feet), I have to do at least the same score as on 3DS (3666m).

I don't tend to spend a ton of time in HRC. I like it, it's just that there's too much other stuff to do. Usually if I can get 1500-1800 (much more with Ganondorf and Olimar) with most characters I'm happy.

The best strategy is F Tilt with Ganon, and with Shulk just D Tilting with Buster until you tap into Smash and hit with a Home Run bat
