Hoenn trainer for Brawl

I just think it would be a good idea, considering that A:
the Hoenn trainer could be the female one, who looks exactly like May from the Pokemon anime (and May was and still is a popular character)

B: We'd be able to play as Blaziken (AWESOME), Grovyle, and Mudkup (and I know alot of people who like that mudkip fad would be pleased)

So anyone else think this would be a good idea? FYI, the pokemon would not get the same exact moves, they'd all get their own individual moves to make them unique:

Blaziken could get sky upper cut and Blaze Kick
Grovyle could get Leaf Blade and another attack (can't think of which at the moment)
Mudkip can get Mudslap and a water based attack (Either Watergun or Water Pulse)

odds are the final smash WOULD be simular, but not exactly the same... not sure how, since I'd need to really examine the pokemon trainer's final smash to get an idea of how to make this one different.

Third gen was defiantly by far the weakest Pokemon gen, it shouldn't get a playable character especially not another PT.
So? I think another pokemon trainer would be fine to rival him, not to mention the second trainer's pokemon would have completely different moves

and who ever said the third gen was the weakest gen? I've never heard such a thing

It wouldn't be a copy... the movesets of the pokemon would be very different, I assure you

yes we have established that the pt concept is the same. characters like geno, megaman man and starfy who deserve a spot over this guy. we have have a pt great concept now the slots are for the characters who are deserving of a spot

"This GUY?" you clearly didn't read my post, Hoenn trainer would be female (Usually reffered to as May by most fans)

I can already see my idea isn't liked...oh well, doesn't stop me from wishing Blaziken to be playable whether it be with a trainer or not

It would be very similar in playstyle no matter what. Having Brendan or May as an alt costume for PT would be fine.

3rd gen was the most boring, they tried to pack in as many towns as possible and remove as much second gen stuff as possible, it was like a massive step down in terms of gameplay before being restored by the fourth gen. Mudkip was the only reviving factor for the third gen.

who is this guy we need a picture?

So? Luigi has a simular playing style to Mario, and he made it

and if Brendan/may did make it as an alternate costume, it would be awkward to see them using generation 1 pokemon, it would make more sense to see them using pokemon who actually come from the same region as them

Difference is Luigi is an important character to his series has appeared in more than three games and his own unique personality and will have his own moves in Brawl.

No it wouldn't, that's stupid. You can get Kanto and Johto Pokemon in Hoenn you know, just because they have different (and inferior) starters to Kanto doesn't mean it wouldn't make sense to see them use them. You can get a Charizard, Squirtle and Ivysaur in RSE, just trade them over from FR/LG. Plus chances are that PT could easily have a trainer from each gen get an alt costume, I know I wouldn't think it was weird to see Gold or Kris to use them, or Dawn or Lucas.
I would like to see a Hoenn Trainer, that or just Blaziken as a Playable character.
Blaizken is pretty much deconfirmed with Torchic as a Pokeball.

Torchic and Blaziken are 2 different Pokemon... Sure they're related, but it still doesn't mean anything

who know, we might see Blastoise come out of a pokeball in the future... will that mean they have to get rid of Squirtle?

And Blaizken is Torchic's final evolution, I know this but having one playable and the other as a Pokeball seems improbable, it could work and make perfect sense I just doubt that it will, it doesn't seem very likely or very Sakuraish. Plus Blaizken's popularity has cooled down, plus he belongs to a set, a Pokemon from a set won't get in unless the whole set does (ala PT)

I doubt this very much so.

Meh, don't know much about PKMN, but Xianfeng is right, it's illogical to have one a pokemon item and the other a character.

There isn't gonna be another Pokemon Trainer. Comparing the Hoenn Trainer to Luigi is like comparing Marin to Zelda.

we dont need another pt its just a waste of a slot. as i said before characters like geno, megaman and starfy deserve a spot. We dont need him in we have one pt now we need unique and new characters. Smash does not need to be overloaded with characters

While the idea in itself is flawed, I'd see no reason to say no to a costume or an Assist Trophy of the Hoenn trainers. They'd, like, send out 3 pokeballs for you, and you'd be all "Yesssssss". Or costumes of Hiro, Kris, or Blue for the Pokemon Trainer. Hell, as a joke, throw Prof. Oak in as a costume. AWESOME :DDDD

The fact that he is called "Pokemon Trainer" and not Red or "Kanto" Trainer means that this idea will never come to pass. But I guess we all knew that already.

Sounds cool, but I agree that this would be way too much Pokemon repping. Two trainers alone on the roster would be borderline overkill...

As weird as this sounds I think thet could name it Pokemon Trainer 2 if anything, Kinda like pokemon stadium 2

However I dought that will happen in brawl, maby in the 4th smash bros, but I still think it would be asome :)

Shared Trophy Material, unless Sakurai and Gamefreak finally decides that it's canon to have Brendan as Proffesor Birch's son and May has Norman's son and the little boy that is in Proffesor Birch's house was just visiting his new neighbours. In which case they can have seperate trophys.

Somewhere, most likely existent
Having more than one Pokemon Trainer seems silly. It just takes away from Pokemon Trainer's originality, and no one wants that. Besides, if that is how it is, than why would Pokemon Trainer be called Pokemon Trainer instead of Kanto Trainer?

Pokemon Trainer and Hoenn Pokemon Trainer are WAY too similar.
Sorry, but even if they don't have the same movesets, they still have the same concept.

It won't happen.

That's still irrelevant. All Pokemon games offer you default names like "Red". But Sakurai chose to name PKMN Trainer as he did because it's open to different character models for trainers. We may even get a female trainer that has her Pokemon sporting an alternate color palette for all we know. They would simply be a different trainer design, not a separate character all together, no reason to all get bent out of shape.

He named PKMN Trainer a generic name for a reason.

The Hoenn trainer was pretty gross,
I was pretty much forced to be a female trainer in R/S,
And that's the only time I've chosen a female character besides Crystal.
Johto trainer is superior.

Having a trainer that uses Blaziken and Mudkip would please so many fans it's not even funny.

Brendan looked cool until he was deformed by Colosseum.

Lucas, however, was never cool.

Mudkip is just a stupid internet meme,
It means nothing in the real world.
Blaziken would be just fine if he was a character on his own.

The credibility of the meme doesn't matter. People like Mudkip. That's a fact.

I know, but just being able to play as Blaziken would make me happy.

I think it'd be nicer not to have stamina on Blaziken.
But yes,
Playing as him would be great regardless.

Blaizken was only popular for a short time, like a Pokemon of the moment, he isn't any more popular than Heracross, Grimer or Dragonite anymore.
