OK there is no new news about brawl and I'm tired of speculating so here is a thread dedicated to hobbies you guys may have other than brawl.

I wouldn't call myself a nerd per say, infact Smash is the ONLY game besides sports game's that i like. Im not an intense gamer buy i might want to become a intense smasher when brawl comes out, not sure. I spend alot of my time ether at work, at the school (Im Majoring in Web Design), or with friends. I love all types of competition, smash, sports, Poker.

I first started playing smash on the N64 when i got it for my b-day a long *** time ago and loved it. I didnt really like melee at first and was very bad at it at first. My best firend introduced me to the game, Me and a few other guys started playing after that just for fun.

I live in Neenah Wisconsin. Go Packers . . . I hope they go all the way this year and beat the Pats.

1) What else do you guys do for fun?

2) How and when did you become a smasher?

3) where do you live?

Im A casual Roleplayer, with 5 years experience as Gamemaster and player( Pen and paper games ). Im slightly addicted to World of warcraft. Every Monday i play Poker texasholdem at a Local Bar, with everything from 6 to 20 other locals. Every now and then i gather friends to play some Melee. We arent that excited about melee anymore, since we all are waiting for brawl. The time i have left, goes to either Work or Drinking in the weekends, and my girlfreind ofc.

Graphic Design/ Illustration for my hobby. I don't think I'm going to be very successful having that as a profession. In the meantime, I'll be studying until Brawl comes out =/. I think I'm addicted to making cue cards -.-;;.

1) I draw, read, workout, fool around on the comp, play games on the wii, and hang around/get drunk with friends I'm not a huge gamer I only buy games I know I'm going to keep I'm not a big fan of trading in games so once I buy a game I keep it.

2) I got into smash when it first came out for 64 i saw the commercials for it rented it play it loved it and bought it shortly after and i've been playing smash ever since. I got melee when I first bought the gamecube and had it up until my bro being the bum he was traded it in that was two years ago so when I found this out I (I was in college at the time) bought it again and proceeded to get everything again well most of everything none of the ridiculous trophies.

3) Newfoundland, Canada.

Hobbies outside of Smash?

Well I play other games... I work... and I am an aspiring artist...

http://jago-mizukami.deviantart.com

but aside from that... I like reading, and just hanging out with friends...

unfortunately... I have few friends that like the Smash Bros. series... they've never really got into it... even though they've played it with me... but very infrequently... oh well... at least Brawl will have online play...

I'm an indoor person, I spend most of the day inside and if not outside hanging out. Indoors I do a little photoshoping at times, youtubing or I'm usually playing something on the Wii.

1) What else do you guys do for fun?
Go on forums, read random stuff, talk with people over AIM, play games on other consoles.

2) How and when did you become a smasher?
Friend had the game and I started play it at a sleep over. I started playing probably sometime in 02. Then he moved in 04 and he was the only one with the game so I haven't played since.

3) Where do you live?
Hawaii.

2. I first played smash at my older cousins house the year 64 came out. Then about a year later another uncle sold us his 64 and smash 64, and yoshi story.

1. Outside of work, I do very little. Im normally working at funny times anyway, so with what time I have, I try to spend with my wife.

2. I first saw the orgianl game advertised in shops when I went to Japan on a work trip in 1999. It piqued my interest, and so I got it when it came out in Europe.

3. I spend my time travelling a lot, but I live in London officially.

1) Play other games, make sprite comics, eat pudding, learn karate, learn japanese, and play with my rabbit (named Sir Kibble)

2) Funny story about that.. A couple years before Smash64 was announced, my brother said "It would be awesome if they were to make a game where all the nintendo characters fought eachother!" When it came out, he got it of course, and I loved it. So of course I got melee when it came out.

3) In a dark palace on one of those creepy hills where there's ALWAYS a thunderstorm.

For fun I enjoy playing ping-pong or melee with my friends. I also play computer,ds,psp (djmax ftw), and wii games. Besides that there is always the internet and aim. I also enjoy bowling and am part of the winter drumline at my school :)marimba:).

I first got into smash when I started playing Smash64. I was pretty young at the time so I didn't get too involved with it until melee though. And even then I bought melee as soon as it came out, played it for a while and then forgot about it until about two years ago when it became the only multiplayer game that I consistently played and enjoyed.

Georgia.

1. i play in table tennis tournaments. My USTTA rank is 1500. higher is better btw.

2. I started playing smash back when it was just released on the N64. Started with Samus because of her blast, but later changed to captain falcon. In melee i went through phases of playing one or two chars at a time to get good with most of them. Though, i never really liked playing Fox for some reason.

3. I'm in Atlanta, GA.

1) What else do you guys do for fun?
-Eat at vegan restaurants, create art, go to galleries/museums, read lots of philosophical/academic/art-theory/fiction/fantasy books, go to clubs/discoteques, go to shows/gigs/concerts, drink with friends, occasionally smoke with friends (not tobacco), amusement parks, play various sports, workout, sew/create my own clothes, and the usual movies and music and lots and lots of friends.

2) How and when did you become a smasher?
-Bought Smash64 when it first came out. Played with a few friends. Melee came out and bought within the first month. Played it with a new set of friends who loved it. 2 years ago, we started to play w/o items and competitively. Went to small-time tournies, won a few, lost many. Found out about Brawl and became obsessed. Lost interest in Brawl when it delayed. Not so much obsessed, but still pumped. Lost more obsession when it was delayed for the 2nd time. Still excited, but now I have more patience for when it's due to be released. Planning on being apart of the competitive scene.

3) where do you live?
-Southern California, United States. Live in Fontana, but graduated from University of California Riverside this last June of 2007. Double majored in Fine Arts and Psychology. Minored in Japanese and Computer Science (custom minor).

I'm a flash animator on Newgrounds.com

I became a smasher after I saw the commercial for the original Smash and went out and bought it the next day.

1) I'm an artist (in dire need of a wacom tablet)
http://windlordofsuldor.deviantart.com/
I like to hang with friends, go to church youth group, go see movies, play other games, and play relaxed sports such as dodgeball indoor hockey, and soccer.

2) I wasn't allowed to have video games until I was 10, then I borrowed an N64 from my friend. (sadly he didn't have smash) but a year later Melee came out, and the same friend introduced me to it, (he had Roy unlocked, and I immediately started maining him)
shortly after i bought a GC platinum that came with smash as my first system.
