Hi, Smashboard community, I thought it would be fun to introduce myself in the forum, however, I don't have a lot of ideas to do so, as a result, I'll just answer the "ideas" to make an introduction.
- Who do you main in your Smash game(s) of choice? Why?
First, I have experience with the whole Smash saga, I started with Melee, I was a little boy, so I had a lot of fun with it. I developed an amazing interest for Smash in Brawl, as of today, it is the only game I have bought in day 1, in Brawl, I used to main Lucas, Sheik, and Sonic, personally, I believe it was because they were (to my point of view) the fastest characters in the game, to be honest, I still only played for fun. I bought Sm4sh 3DS a week after release, and then I decided to play seriously, mainly it's due to a lot of friends playing, so I started to enjoy more skill-needed fights,
As for my mains in Sm4sh, I have a lot to say:
Lucas has a very special place in my heart, I discovered his game because of Brawl; Mother 3 soon become one of my favorite games. As a Smash character Lucas has everything, speed, good tilts, and aerials, killer smashes, and unique specials, I also feel comfortable with him because is not played by many people as they find PK Thunder to be a "bad recovery".
Ness is pretty much the replacement I found for Lucas before the DLC came out for Sm4sh. When I got to play as both in Smash 3DS I found that even though they share a lot of characteristics, they have valuable differences that must change your playstyle. I love Ness too
I decided to improve my Shulk thanks to my love to Xenoblade Chronicles, I believe Shulk has a lot of good points, such as his range and peculiar attacks with the Monado, I also like the way arts are handled, adopting original mechanics of Xenoblade.
Falcon it's my favorite fighter when I want to play close. His speed, good ways to approach, and killing moves such as the Knee of Justice, Raptor Boost or Dair gives a lot of satisfaction.
Robin is the perfect blend between close and long range, pretty much as he is in Awakening (a game I liked a lot), I am very happy with the tomes and Levin sword mechanic, which I don't think is a limit. In general, I like the way he moves in the air and deals with magic
- Why have you joined Smashboards? How did you hear about the site?
I first heard about Smashboards in Ultimate speculation videos (I am a big fan of the gossip) and as a guy very hyped for Ultimate, I decided to give a try and join in the discussions.
- Do you attend tournaments? Do you want to?
I have never been on a tourney, with Ultimate I truly desire to participate in competitive matches, maybe still for fun, or for a challenge, I am currently searching options in my city, or even preparing everything for good online matches, still casual but with a great challenge ahead.
- What other communities are you a part of? Clubs at school, other forums?
I used to play basketball, but not anymore. I was part of the Mathematical Team of my state for 5 years, but now that time is over, I will help in the training of newbies. I am an IBY2 student, if that could say something about me.
