Hi everybody!

I've been playing Smash since Smash 64. I was pretty young when it came out, but played it for fun. As I got older, I played Melee with friends, and right before Brawl came out, I learned about competitive play. I liked Brawl, but never really played it competitively. Now with Smash 4, and being able to play people online with ease, I've been playing a lot more often. I haven't used anything like Smashladder, partially because I'm afraid of being called a "noob" for not being as good as others. I do pretty well on FG, but I know that's nothing compared to real competitive play. I'm a Link main, and feel like we get a bad rep.

I joined this site to learn more about competitive play. Specifically to learn more about how to play Link in Smash 4 and Melee. I'd also like to learn to play other characters besides Link.

I've never attended tournaments, but I think there are a few places I could play that are close to me.

I'm a huge Nintendo fan, but like all of the consoles. I love to collect amiibo, and have a completely up to date collection as of posting this. I also like to watch sports, and anime.

Oh cool, a Link main. Welcome to Smashboards. Link actually used to be my main, but got demoted to secondary when I focused on Lucina. I still use him frequently though.

Did you say Link players get a bad rep? Think its because of FG? I have enough experience to witness Link players that camp with their bows and arrows, especially in Sudden Death situations. So if that's any implication of Link's bad rep at all.

Post, make some friends, and overall have a great time here. Sorry, but that's all I really have to say. Haha.

Anyway, don't be afraid to go to Smashladder! Losing is part of the game, and you can learn a lot from it, so do not be disencouraged! You won't improve on FG! How are you gonna clean up your main's name?
