Hey, I'm Mordo! I'm a new member on the forums after lurking for ages. I main Mario in Project M and am noodling around with Zelda in hopes they revert to pre-3.5 Din's Fire. In Smash 4, I'm taking probably the longest time I've ever taken in trying to get comfortable enough with everyone on the roster before concentrating on my mains, so I don't have one yet. It's rather painstaking, but I like being thorough with all the new options!

I joined after finding out that the error code my Wii U gave me didn't seem to be as "rare" as the Nintendo tech guy led me to believe, so I figured I should post my experience to see if it helps anyone else figure out how to avoid it. I've never attended a tournament, but I have a few weeklies that are within reach that I'd love to go to. I'm just scared of my ability level.

Outside of Smash, I play a bunch of other video games and am a musician. While these don't necessarily intersect, I can always appreciate a fantastic video game score!

Welcome :)

Don't be afraid of attending weeklies or anything due to thinking you're not up to par with everyone else. Those kinds of events have people of all kinds of skill levels. I mean, even though it's rare for me to attend the weeklies in my city due to my work schedule sucking, I still try to go; and I am pretty terrible at Smash. It's all about just having fun playing the game, and practicing and learning to get better over time. The only way to get better is to play!

Thanks! I wanted to try to go all summer when my schedule was easier to the big weekly I have nearby, but didn't want to feel like I'd be going way over my ability level. I'm not bad, I just don't have any idea how I'd do against anyone outside my small circle hahah Well unfortunately I'm grounded back to 3DS Smash until my Wii U gets fixed from the fatal error :(
