Ok I'm a decent melee player. I know advanced techs like dshl, drillshine, runningshine->usmash, but how the hell do you do marths dancing blade? lol I know it has something to do with timing it? or hitting the opponent? but anyways i cant get more than red and green to come out lol. HELP!! thanks. :)

It has nothing to do with hitting the opponent. You just have to time it right, chances are that you're doing it too fast.

Yeah, I do it by telling myself like 1,2,3,4

If you do it like 1,2, - 3 (- = delay) then you lost it and it won't continue at the same pace

You can do it like 1, - 2, - 3, - 4 so you get the rhythm (<<---that is the weirdest word ever >_< took me forever to spell it XD ty FireFox spell check) and once you get that you can try to make it faster.

Try not to get nervous. Once you hit forward + B you can switch to the A button or any direction for that matter. Keep your timing for the B/A button as consistent as possible. If you're getting stuck after the second dancing blade slash, you're hitting B/A too fast.

Or you can make the sounds that Marth does. If you're pressing the buttons faster than you can make the sounds, you're doing it too fast!

Hope your friends really like you though.

You can get some rediculous delay out of the third and fourth slashes too. I get people with the fourth hit (down version) all the time because they thought I was done.

Wow...after all this time I didn't know you could use A lol that's interesting but not like it matters for me anyway lol I hate using the A button in general

Haha, I have this weird/unique habit when playing smash.
If it's not saying the rare WTF or "ugh, what??" when I die, 95% of the time I'll imitate my characters when they die.

Like I'll time it as I watch them fly to the side or get spike and go "Do-WAA!" for Falco, "ooo-ooooh!" for C. Falcon, and "Dwuaah!" for Marth.
Maybe I should also do that for the dancing blade......, make myself even MOAR awesome!!

LOL I shout out "3!" when I UpB with Marth lol He says "Twah!", which in French (Trois), sounds like the number 3 lol I think this was planned though...Marth has two jumps like everyone else and his third is his UpB and that is why he says "Twah!"

Haha, elvenarrow just junior 5 stocked you twice.

NO WAY! I never realized that! 1 jump, 2 jump, then up-b as 3rd, and he says Twah!

Even though he clearly says Twaah! when you play his sounds in the SSBM options sound test for Marth, I still hear and say Kwaah! when he does his up-b. It sounds more like Kwaah combined with the other sword sounds for the dolphin slash, eh?

Well EYE still make the sounds my character makes, and not dropping the habit!
