Not sure if there's a way to tell if someone is on SmashBoards just by playing FG or seeing SB in their name. Perhaps we need a method, a code of sorts, to tell. Too many people taunt to begin a match so that's out. Not everyone wants to put SB in their username, so into the trash bin. How about this? If you end up in a ditto match, taunt at the opponent! People who taunt as it is will keep doing it so switch characters afterwards to make sure. Of course, this could completely just be ignored and disregarded. On the other hand, it could be a cool idea.

people tried this during brawl's time in basic brawl. Issue however was that whatever "code" people came up with to try and show they were a user from SB, would catch on with the random other players who just thought this was some new "fad" that people in the game were doing, either to try and convince said person to team up with them on the other players, or just for lolz.

People tried everything from teabagging at the start of a match, to rapidly putting up and dropping their shield at the start, to taunting with a specific taunt. Each one of them the random players would start doing as well eventually.

Best bet is to just try to find em here. I mean after all at least this time we can actually identify players from their usernames. heck the wii U version even lets us view their profile directly on miiverse and even add em after playing against em.

Believe it or not, in brawls online there were people who used GameandWatch's judgement hammer move to signal people their friend codes by taunting whenever the right number came up.

It was lol

nice idea but wont fall through, best bet would be to have a couple pre made tags saying " do you have a ____" or so on so forth.
that way you dont have to type it pre-match and they can read and respond either after the match or before if they aswell have premade tags full of responces

I figured that might happen, but oh well. But 3DS doesn't have the friend code thing. I usually play on WiiU, but some people only have 3DS so I guess it's better to appeal to them.
