An ART BATTLE!!

For everyone! young and old!

For all the crits without faces behind them, this is your time to shine too! It's a friendly little get-together where we pick a character, (most likely smash bros., or any other nintendo franchise), post a few references, and whoever wants to enter, gets paired up randomly, draw them, and get unanimously voted towards the winning piece .

This's something I thought would bring everyone together. Not really sure if it's been done or now already, if so, cool! If not, cool.





But no benchwarming naysayers allowed.

I'd be down depending on when this would be. Next 2-3 weeks are finals for this quarter so I would be kind of busy.

~Sigh~ Man. So many criticizers floatin around and not many artists willing to show. Well, looks like it's just us. Here's the rules, since it's only us two, we get to choose whatever random characters we want to draw in whaever style/technique, whatever. The deadline is within 10 days. Then once we submit what we have done, the people would have to decide. The winning piece will be determined through aspects like, creativity, execution, fundamentals, whatev/etc. Man, it just sucks that not more people are willing to join.

Honestly, that's no one's problem but there's. Sigs ARE art... but mostly 99% of the time just photo-manipulated. I just think a bunch of colorful wavy grids, ink blotches and gradients with cropped photos can only go so far when joined with other art types aspects. But make no mistake, there's no beef with sigs. It's just too many simon cowls, and no enough singers.

Thing is, Draw With Your Power is pretty much the same thing.

Blah, who cares, I'll participate anyway. I also think we could expand upon doing just video game characters, like maybe also locations, scenes, etc... just to add more variety. And not even always from a video game necessarily.
