Everyone here knows that the worse thing of oli is his recovery, ppl that know this can punish you and take advantage of this fact...but...I want to you guys to post the different things that help you to recover a little bit more...I truly want help...:dizzy:

I've seen in the "Be A Leader" combo vid by one of you how he used to do uair just before hitting upB this can cause to hit the opponent to get out of that edge, another thing to do is getting advantage of that little boost that give the upB, and I have seen that throwing a purple pikmin to the opponent will help too. hmmm any other ideas???? believe me it will be helpful...

PD.: if you guys considered this topic unnecessary...you can remove it right away...:urg:

Well, if you're too far to hit them off, just try to take them with you, spike them off the ledge with upb. If you're gonna die, make sure he does too

When sent upward, immediately gear yourself to spam DAir (on the C-Stick) until your no longer moving upward. When sent completely horizontal (left or right) DI upward and in the opposite direction with Fair on the C-Stick. When sent downward, you want to C-Stick Uair. These will help your distance issues, ledgeguard has already been covered, check the useful threads.

When I get meteor smashed I try to meteor cancel it with UpB (I usually do it instinctively :/). As long as you have 6 pikmin you'll easily recover, and if you have less... I once got daired by a Falco, meteor cancelled it, stage spiked him with Up+B and won the match XD

nice advises as expected! thanks...hmmm I have few questions though...DI with C-stick?? hmmm I always DI with the normal one...and do a well DI when I get pounded in a vertical way...I always use a airdodge right after the hit plus the DI...does this helps?? anyway can I mix the normal stick DI with the C-stick DI??? what the difference? or you call DI with the Cstick when you cancel the animation of the char with a aerial?:psycho:

DIing with the C-Stick is called Smash DI and it's much more influencial than DI with the control stick. I use Smash DI instintively and have just got out of the habbit of hitting R/L and DIing with the control stick. You can notice the difference in Smash DI and normal DI in a video by Overswarm on YouTube. Just search Smash DI and look for his tag.
