F-Zero Pit Stop Help

Alright I am use to the old F-zero games for like SNES. I am really an xbox 360 gamer buy i bought a game cube for Melee. Now I am trying to beat the 1st level of the F-zero with that 1st stage thats just a race to click those orbs. But can someone give me some advice or hey even some cheats to unlock everyone else. This would be awesome
