As soon as you initiate the short jump fair, then fair again as soon as the slash is finished, with awesome timing as soon as you land you can follow up with ftilt and catch them at the tip of the blade.

How good are you at l canceling?

From what you describe, there is a possibility you aren't canceling the first fair properly.

If you are, then you should be able to SHFFL fair, then do a full jump fair, jump again and quickly do a dair.

Are you able to post any videos of your attempts?

I think he is trying to SHDF.
If this is so the issue is most likely just not getting the first fair of quick enough. You need to get the first fair off ASAP. If you're facing to the left, you can go from x to c-stick with your thumb pretty easily. If you're facing to the right, many people use >+z rather than >+a because it is easier.

If you short hop with Y though, I find using A for aerials a lot easier, since you can just slide your thumb down. I started with using z but eventually switched to A because it felt more comfortable for me. It's just a matter of personal preference.

When you mean "A" I hope you mean nairs. :p

Using A for fairs ruin your spacing. You should be C sticking all of your aerials...

Oh cool, we both have use the same button to jump. This will make things easier. ^^;

But yeah as soon as you jump with Y flick the C stick forward. The first fair should come out before Marth reached the peak of his short hop. When Marth is at that peak, start holding back on the analog stick and flick the C stick forward again. Its good to hold back on the analog stick for the second fair because you want to stay spaced. In other words, you don't want Marth to keep moving forward during the double fair.

You get it? XD

edit: As for the lead in to the Ken combo, simply do a SHFFL single fair (tipper hit I believe) and then quickly jump out and flick the C stick forward to hit your foe in the air, and quickly jump out again and flick the C stick downwards for the spike.
