Help with GameCube controller?

'ello world it is I JFKennyD and I'm going to make this quick. Is they're something wrong with Sm4sh's detection of the triggers in a GC controller? Because I prefer my controllers no strings attached, which works PERFECTLY in Melee and PM but alas in Sm4sh I push the triggers and... Nothing happens. Hello would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Do you normally press the triggers lightly or all the way down?
