help with finding my rom on my computer!!!!

Ok...I start off Project64k and it doesnt show any roms compatible. So i click on file and choose rom directory. But it won't let me choose anything! Like i double click Super Smash Bros. (U) [!] and it wont open or do anything. And then i ignored it and went straight to netplay and it said i dont have Super Smash Brothers (U) [!] in my computer. So i downloaded the roms in so many different sites and i put it all over my computer. And it STILLS SAYS IT CANT FIND ROM IN MY COMPUTER! Help!

P.S Im using Home Premium Vista

When choosing the Rom Directory, you need to choose the folder which contains the Rom, not the Rom itself.

yea thats what i did. Theres a folder with the super smash bros. (U) [!] rom inside. But when i double click the folder that has the rom inside, its wont open or let me choose anything.

its not supposed to let you choose anything from inside ,just select the folder then click ok ,refresh, and u should have the rom on your list

Vista does have a problem with this. I'm not sure how to fix it but you have to tweak around with it a little bit. Try putting the rom in your pj64k folder.
