Help with Fair meteors...

What are the details about the fair, when does it meteor, and when does it shoot them upwards...

The reason im asking this is because as a solo climber, i've recently started doing a roy-esque technique with the fair and dtilt which works really well when the meteor hits...

It's just like Mario's Fair Meteor - It spikes when it's at the end of the swing, while the hammer is most of the way through it's arc.
