help with AMV's

aight i'm tryin to make AMV's for bleach. so i downloaded a bunch of episodes not realizing that some were with windows media player and others were with realplayer. right now i'm working in windows movie maker so i can only use stuff supported by windows media player. so is the anyway i can transfer my stuff from realplayer to WMP. and if not is there another program i can use that will support both.

You could try converting the files to avi, but I'm not completely sure if that would work or not.

Just search around in google for a (whatever the file type is) to avi converter. It shouldnt be hard to find even a trial version of something.

well first if your good at amvs and like making them i suggest u do NOT use wmm its probably the worst video editing program, and to fix the problem i suggest u only download your episodes of bleach from one source ( most likely megaupload ) and it will most likely b .avi file. this will make it much easier because it will take more time finding a converter and getting it to work. plus the quality will be much worse. if you need help finding a site where you can download bleach like this u can PM me because i could probably find it easily, i have a bleach amv coming up soon. And if i cant theres always the dattebayo site where u can download it via limewire, altho it takes a while.

You could always convert your video files, using an AVI converter (easy to find online). I personally had to download cracked software.

Also, you can use VLC, if you have that, to convert files, using the Save to File wizard.

But with that said, WMM is a pretty ****ty movie maker. Try getting something decent, which owuld be able to accept the common video formats.

no he shouldnt stop making amvs just for that. i had so many problems with my comp for the last 2 months it drove me insane but i finaly was able to make amvs after it >.> if he likes doing it he should tyr to fix the problem. its not realy a big problem especialy compared to the stuff i went thru XD

Okay, I'm gonna give you the best explanation possible. Though this may sound a little complicated. What you do is open up one of the episodes with Real Player. Once it starts playing go to "Now Playing" It should be under files, but if its not, look under somewhere else. Once that is up you'll see a new box open, and a save disk at the bottom of it. Save the files again, but use .WMV Doing that SHOULD enable you to import episodes to Window's Movie Maker.
