help with a sheik

what is the best way to distance myself with a sheik that has mastered the power sheild and spams the grab.and what would be a good way to keep that sheik off the stage once ive knocked her out.help would be greatly appreciated.thank you

One of the unfortunate down sides to playing Falco is the fact that he's fairly easily chain grabbed. The best way to avoid being chain grabbed, is to avoid getting grabbed period.

As far as playing against an aggressive Sheik goes, you have keep momentum on your side. If you let the Sheik take control of the match, and try to turtle up and play defensively, you're going to lose.

Falco is an attacker, not a defender.

Powershield master or not, if you're spamming lasers like you should, then Sheik's approach is going to be very hindered.

It's hard to answer this question without a video to critique... You could be doing everything right and be getting beat because the Sheik is a better player than you... Or you could be losing because your game is lacking a crucial element. Try to get us a vid up.

i don't know what this is called but forward taught me this:

SHFFL - dair - (turn around) - SHFFL - dair

rinse and repeat

i use that lot. it's useful against pretty much all the characters. its my lazy of exploiting their shield usage instead of pillaring lol

mix up lasers, shl is not the only laser option.
full jump triple laser, retreating rshl, etc.
oh noz powershield'd sometimes...spot dodge and continue your barrage.
once there's an opening...come in with a nair or dair and start comboing.
actually another option is jump in - shine vs shield - dj shine cancel - fastfalllcancelled dair - combo of choice. do this at higher percents than 20-30 though so that the shiek bounces high enough for a utilt or shine.

Sheik can't chaingrab falco. She can techchase grab you, but she can't chaingrab you.

Use your lasers during your approaches, typically right before you enter shffl range. Powershielding these (or even getting in the position to) is very clumsy, so your approach should succeed. Once you have them pressured with the laser, shffl into them and start your pillar / shine combo.

Now, more importantly, when you have them off the stage, don't bother trying to aerial intercept them -- there are very few vulnerabilities during the duration of Sheik's recovery. Instead, make it a habit to always edgehog -- this will force them into recovering onto the stage, and you can capitilize on their substantial lag. Depending on where exactly their recovery takes them, you can ledgehop-attack them, pull onto the stage and dsmash / fsmash them back off when they land, or pull up, grab them, and throw them back off for another shot at edgeguarding. No matter what you have to do, it's all made possible by edgehogging to force them onto the stage. Know it. Love it. Wh0re it.

Mindgames Is all I can say. Mix up everything. Spam the Lasers of course. But Master things such as Dair>Shine>Grab or Laser> Shine(No connection) >Jump>Waveland>Shine.
It seems Like Alot but Its really not. AND it can be usful against an aggressive Sheik.

Dont try to spike Sheik off the stage just pressure her into a spot on the stage and dsmash her back off.
