GO through the entire cast and play who you find fun and enjoyable to use;
Don’t “main” someone just cuz they’re high tier. Unless your goal is to quite literally work your way to the top of ultimates tournament scene , and spend hours upon hours and quite a lot of money training and going to offline tournaments.
You’re not quite ready to attempt something like that, and trying to waste your time maining a high tier just to get some points on a meaningless online ranking system will just leave you frustrated and annoyed if you aren’t lucky and happen to just have a high tier “click” for you and feel fun.
Go with a character you actually enjoy using, or even just love them from their own games, smash is a fighter filled with characters from all across the gaming world, surely there’s ONE of em in there you enjoy for more than just smash.
I’m a ganondorf main, I have been since 4. I love the lore of the character and his design from the Zelda universe, and while I’d rather have him with a moveset more true to the character from the Zelda series, that doesn’t mean I don’t find his play style fun. I still very much enjoy it.
I also know he’s a low, (possibly even bottom) tier character again. But idc, Because I enjoy the character.
That’s the mentality you should be with right now. If you still enjoy Kirby’s games, the character himself, or have enjoyed him in past smash games, why ditch him just cuz he’s not high tier?
Also knowing he’s not great could give you a goal; actually using a low tier effectively. As a ganon main I enjoy seeing the shock on some players faces when they get bodied by such a disadvantaged character. More so if they decided to pick a high tier.
