sorry but i couldn't find the awnser in any thread (if it exists).

you proberbly know you can stuck to the ceiling with sonic's homing attack.
i use it when i got cought under a tupid edge and need to di into a better position before use the spring.

but... i can't seem to control where he goes after he bounced on the ceiling, before i drop down too much for the homing attack to work on the ceiling again.

any trick for this, or just hope the enemy stays on a edge so i go the right way?

thanx

don't cancel it.

just tap b once and let it float into the ceiling.

Also, you can't control it if your opponent is nearby.

smashville for instance then :p

in Lucky's video he seems to control it quite well.
but his opontent stand still.

so you can contol if he's not in the homing attacks range?

then the enemy is in control of how long you'll stay under there, kinda..

You just gotta be a little carefule when using it off stage.

I've killed dNES in Sonic dittos by fast falling off the ledge so the HA follows down, and it has/almost KO him.

If the opponent is close and you're stuck under the level, then you'll have a tough time getting back on the level without being penalized for "stalling", even though you just don't wanna die and want to get back to the level.

It sucks.

Or you could just not use it, because it's pointless, useless, and most of all against official rules.

I wouldn't go as far as saying it's useless/pointless, and it's only banned as a means of stalling. I'm pretty sure using it as a recovery method wouldn't be bad.

I've actually saved myself in one or two tournament rounds vs. a Kirby/Dedede who spit me underneath FD.

It's ridiculously situational, but definately not useless/pointless.

In that vid it just looks like he is controlling it. Really you cant determine which direction your stall goes right after you hit. You just gotta wait it out and DI as you can. Sometimes its a pain in the neck trying to get out from under there.

about the stalling ban thingy,

i pointed at it on the last tournament in the netherlands.
it IS banned if you use it to stall. meaning it's your purpose to stall.

if you just f*cked up a recovery and use it to come back, it is permited.

it would be crazy to say you must die or else it's concidered stalling.

and it's very clear if you take the following text in mind:

Stalling: 'The act of deliberately avoiding any and all conflict so that one may make the game unplayable. Running away from an opponent to reach a better position is not stalling, while doing an infinite grab endlessly against a wall is. Any infinite chain grabs most end quickly after 300% has been reached so as to prevent excessive stalling.'
