help please

Whenever i try to shuffle my guy doesnt fast fall .

i hit forward and (X) to make jump forward then A and down at the peak of his jump it works fine, fast fall any everything. But when i try to L it wont do it.Im obvioulsy holding a button too long or something.
i tried press L at various times. Idk what it is please help.

So again,When i do the shuffle its just like im nuetral air and then l canceling no fastfall.

you have a long enough time to L cancle, you want to do it BEFORE you land, not as you land, just hit L a bit sooner, like almost as you start your fast fall.

that should work, if you hold L to long it will just sheild, no "anti L cancling" effect or anything.
