What button presses do you guys use to dbl fair... My brother cant seem to get it... Tell exactly what you do.

Ex. (this is what i do but he cant copy it)

X
c-stick right
c-stick right

(i hold the controller with claw, so he cant do that...)

I need to find out what the easiest way to do it would be...

He can still do your method if he practices (it feels akward at first, but trust me, it's possible and does get better.)

The most common method for the SHDF is to use A for the first fair and C-stick for the second.

Next time USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION

^^All I did was repeat exactly what a bunch of other people said to answer this question. There's a bunch of really helpfull guides by Emblem Lord if you have more questions.

There's also holding forward and pressing A twice... but that's why you can't seem to get it.

A for the first one and then C-stick would work.

I'd recommend C-stick, so you won't change positions and could attack while still elavating from the SH. Then press A or C-stick again.

This is freakin ridiculous. I know these boards are designed to help Marth players like this but this is about the millionth time a question about how to SHDF has popped up. Seriously, Chu12ch, you should have just used search. There are only a few methods that can be attempted to perform a SHDF and I think they have all been explained one time or another in a thread like this one. Your brother needs to practice. The only difficulty, and there is very little difficulty behind the SHDF, is learning the timing after the first Fair when the second Fair can be thrown out. If he can acquisition himself to that then the rest should come easy.

I don't see whats wrong with wanting current answers... All over the boards you will see outdated guides, same goes for Q&A's... If i wanted to see what people have written before, I would have searched, but I didn't; which means I wanted to know what people are currently doing.

People are currently doing what has been written in those "outdated" guides. If there was some new secret to SHDFing any way, you would have found out about it by searching for SHDF. Just as Sonic Wave said, he repeated what others have advised to do and really that's all the help that can be given.
GET FASTER WITH YOUR FINGERS! Oops, I think I just gave away the big secret behind SHDF. My bad.

Nothing is really "current" anymore seeing as how the games been out for year. The Q&A thread in here is pretty recent as well.

Wow... You really don't sound like a douche; if someone does create a thread, why can't you just answer them? Is it that much harder than berating them for wanting an answer?

Thank you PureKorea for stating that (no sarcasm), and chu12ch I really shouldn't have gone off on you but it just seems like more and more noobs enter the Marth boards and asked the same questions over and over and over....... If not for people like EmblemLord and TheBlueDeath these boards wouldn't even worth going on. No one seems to actually use the search option or Q&A before posting.
None the less, you in particular have nothing to do with my aggression. I just can't take any more posts about SHDF. Sorry.

Y+A+C-stick allows you to move better and for faster execution. You can do SH-Fair-Uair easier if you learn this as well (***** people who DI away).

I think telling him once to search would have been enough. He just asked a question; I was unaware that everyone had so immensely busy lives that they couldn't just answer it... but that doesn't make sense, because they took the time to bash him. Whatever...

It had never even occured to me to use A and the c-stick. I've always just used the c-stick twice. I figured, hey, I fair normally with the c-stick, I'll just do it again is all. Right now, though, my double fair looks like this:

First fair while reaching the peak of the jump.

Second fair happens just as landing, so there is no animation for it, but it still hits.

You should get at least a quarter of the second fair animation for better coverage (12-3 on a clock for example). If you don't have the animation I imagine it only works when your really close to them, which isn't what you want most of the time.

I never thought there would be noticeable difference between A and C-stick in the air. I thought about using Z for the second fair because you could press it right away again for the "L"-cancel after that. Never tried it though, to be honest. (I don't have GC anymore to practice).

Is that true? Z on the second one and you don't need to press L/R or Z again?

Depends on how late you do the 2nd Fair, you can do the second fair early enough that you have to hit Z the third time.
