Help For Focus Cancel???

So i have recently started to play ryu, this character is very fun and good, if you can all help me with the canceling like basicly the one thing i need help with thanks for everything. (Also im french so my english is bad srry for all the mistakes

When you activate focus attack, tap right twice to dash to the right. The same can then be done to the left; tap left twice to dash to the left. You can also do it in the air.
