Help against a kirby player - Whats the proper way to DI

I was playing a kirby player and one think he occasionally did was Dair to a Fsmash. I was wondering is there a way to DI out of the Dair so I can dodge the Fsmash?

Like this post says, this form is to help Kirby players not to find they weakness.

You can smash DI away as he's drilling you. And just try holding your shield after the d-air so that his f-smash gets blocked, then punish his lag with anything Out-of-Shield.

Although this could be in the Olimar section, I think that those that know how to play Kirby should be able to give better advice at this point as character-specific matchups haven't been played as much as in Melee. Plus, Kirby players should be able to adapt to what opponents are doing.

I do not know how to defeat Kirby.

As of now, it seems to be quite impossible to do so.

Alright, if you are FSmashed to the right side, DI to the RIGHT and vice-versa.
Common knowledge, all the elite guys do it. ;D

The best way to avoid this is to simply SD 3 times so it can't be done to you.

DI up and away.
Otherwise run away and use forward B with Olimar.
