Hey all,
I'm reaper0grim and I've been playing Smash Bros since I got my N64 for Christmas back in 1999, and since then I've bought every new release on day 1. I've only recently gotten into the "real" competitive scene with the release of Smash 4 for Wii U. I say "real" because prior to Smash 4 I only really played at small Brawl tournaments at school, and none of us were really any good.
In Smash 4 I main Mario, Roy, Captain Falcon, and Pikachu. I enjoy playing them as in Smash 4 I have a pretty fast/aggro play style that meshes well with those characters.
Though I've stopped playing Smash 4 in the last few weeks to give Melee a try and I've been enjoying it a lot. I main Marth in Melee as I enjoy playing the spacing game. Now that I know how to wavedash, I've been having a ton of fun getting those well placed tippers. I even just bought a 36" Trinitron to play on!
Outside of smash, I'm a big fan of anime, video games, building computers, and programming (I work as a software consultant full time). I used to play Call of Duty and MTG competitively back in college, but now that I've left those scenes I'm looking for something new to play and Smash is just calling my name.
I'm looking to start attending a Melee weekly at a LGS by my apartment. I'm still pretty bad so any tips and words of advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys!
