Smash Cadet
Hello. I've been reading the boards here for a while, and finally decided to register. I've been playing Smash since Melee, although only casually and it's been fairly long since I've actively played Melee or Brawl.
I wasn't really following any of the consoles this generation as I've been more of a PC gamer (particularly MMOs), so seeing Smash 4 at E3 was a surprise for me. As I was getting kind of bored with the games I've been playing and Smash Bros. being one of my favorite game series, it really got me excited for the game, even though I didn't own a Wii U or 3DS at the time.
In looking for additional information on Smash 4, I came across the documentary series for Smash Bros. that is on Youtube, which I felt really had an impact on me. It not only made me want to play Smash more, but also made me want to get into the competitive aspect of the game. I was close to getting a Wii U for Smash 4 prior to watching, but that was the final push I needed in being sure of making the purchase.
I plan to livestream Smash 4 daily (or at least as close to daily as I can) once it is out for Wii U. I'll likely be focusing on the online aspect for competition (although I plan to stream all aspects of the game to some extent), at least to start, as I can't currently afford to travel much. If my livestream does well I'm hoping to make it to some tournaments. My main will be Palutena, as long as I don't dislike how she plays. I will likely be streaming some other games from time to time in addition to Smash 4, and prior to Smash 4's release I'll be streaming whatever game(s) I'm focusing on at the time. I haven't actually started streaming yet as I'm currently lacking a game I can enjoy putting in many hours a day with, although I have my eye on a few atm that I'm considering.
