I've had a headache for three days now, and it's kind of uncomfortable. I've done the usual stuff (pills, lying down, limiting sensory inputs) but to no avail. Do you guys know any tricks for making the trobbing stop?

I'd suggest not sitting in front of the computer and tv for one thing, the flashing lights and multicolors can psych out your brain. A 3 day headache sounds pretty serious, go to a doctor maybe? It couldnt hurt

Sounds like a migraine. They can be very intense and last for a couple days in bad cases. Still, it wouldn't hurt to see a doctor, that's for sure.

Alright, I get migraines about twice a week. So I've got quite a few things you can try.

First, if your a pill taker, Excedrine Migraine. It's an asprin and caffeine combo. It normally weakens my 9 migraines down to a 4, and my migraines of 6 down to a 2.

Or, you can always, lie down in a dark room with a cold, wet wash cloth across your eyes and on your temples. This takes time but just relax, and breathe deeply. Figure out if there is anything bothering you and talk through it in your mind. Until you realize it doesn't bother you anymore. Then you'll realize you don't have a headache anymore.

A lot of times stress from work or school causes migraines, or you can just get them chronically like I do. Lol.

Also, AVOID poping your neck! This will make it a lot worse, trust me!

jolly old england. hohoho.
That sounds like a migraine =/ If you've had it other times in the past you may as well get it checked out by a doctor because a 3 day headache isn't really ''normal''.

My mum used to get really bad migraines that lasted for days. She would sit in a dark room in silence with the quilt over her head and scream at anyone that made any form of noise (including walking on the floor).

Acupuncture worked best for her (or maybe she just imagined it...). Medicines had little effect though.

Another home remedy is the most insane, but effective one. It involves drilling a hole in your head. Just don't don't go to far in or......

Sleep, give your head a few whacks with a rolled up newspaper and drink lemon ice tea with lost of ice cubes for brain-freeze.

Doesn't work? Hospital.

I feel your pain, I've had chronic headaches for the last 2 yrs or so. I just got used to em.

A trick my friend taught me that surprisingly works is to: pinch the area[web like skin part] between your index finger and your thumb. As long as i would be doing this my headache would disappear, however a few seconds after I stopped, it would come right back.
