I've dumped maybe 10ish hours into lucas so far, he's one of my better mains it seems

one thing i can't figure out is his d-tilt... i have a couple questions

1) is it worth using at all? god the range is ****
2) if so, can someone link me some videos and/or explain how to integrate it into combos? (be specific, PREEZ)

also has anyone had much success in using the freeze in 1 v 1s? seems pretty useless to me right now but i might just be sucking so =\

i find freeze is useless.

downtilt -> im stillt esting but against certain chars if you hit them with it 3/4 times they fall over. Perfect for an easy forward or down smash or on low percent an opening to start comboes.

The only thing PK Freeze seems to be good for 1v1 is edgeguarding during specific circumstances. Usually better off with the b-air meteor or a PK thunder to "carry" an opponent off the screen.

I couldn't use either of those moves at all
I can see dtilt being used in theory like jabs in melee. If you land in shield grabbing range (without lag) maybe you could spam dtilt and hope to catch them with it enough to trip.

I personally think down tilt has more range than you guys are giving it credit for. But basically, the only ways you can combo into a down tilt are jab, down tilt itself, or neutral air. With the neutral air, you have to land before the last hit strikes so the enemy does not get knocked back too far. Maybe you'll find a lucky trip after it, but normally it's best to follow up neutral airs with up tilt.

Like Malk said, down tilt can be used similarily to jab grab.

I played with dtilt all night and I still don't really see any major use for it.
You can usually get more percentage with just the 3 hit jab combo, plus it creates some distance that you usually want. Most characters can just DI back from your dtilts and hit you with smash before the spinning stops.

The neutral air would work to get the dtilts off, it's just I see much better combos coming out of neutral air. At low percentages you can start uptilting for major combo potential and at mid-high if you do the neutral air right you can set them up for an upsmash kill.
