having trouble pulling out bananas

my opponent is always on me and if i can get a naner out then they grab it and i always trip, can anyone help me?

I suggest jumping then pulling out a banana. Or when you knock them off stage, it's a perfect opportunity. As for them grabbing them, make sure you hit them when they are close or just block the incoming banana, then simply reclaim it by picking it up or if they are in attacking range, with a dash.

if you know they always go for the banana when you throw it out, just wait for them to go for it and punish them while they're picking it up.
