I can't seem to remember how to get either BrawlEX or Project M to work properly on my Wii. My Wii is modded to where it can play Wii isos (including Brawl mods), but I can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong.

This is VERY easy to do, given how many steps are needed even to play the simplest Brawl mod (default Project M). Something could go wrong in any one of those steps, usually in a very stealthy, ninja-like fashion (so I don't notice it until I try to start PM or BrawlEX up).

Could someone at least point me to where I can find detailed info regarding the exact procedures needed to set up a BrawlEX or Project M mod?

The Project M website, projectmgame.com, should tell you how to install the first. It's quite easy.
Installation and use of BrawlEX is furiously complex and I don't know how to do it. Sorry.
