I was wondering if it was just me. I cant stand the game play of melee or brawl, the characters to me seem so slow and clumsy. 64 is hands down the best, the only arguement u can make against 64 is that there arent as many levels or characters.

Don't forget l33t zero 2 death combos and "No DI", that's the most common arguement Melee players use to bash SSB64, such cloudcakes . I like Brawl though xP.

EDITz: Fixed because Sirhc couldn't get the BEEF!games! within the message :dizzy:

i like every SSB out to date and these threads are boring and are for Trolls, Smash64, Melee, and Brawl shouldnt be compared in such a manor as they are 98% diffrent games...and JamieHR, you should know Smash64 has DI it just has diffrent limitations, 0-Deaths are fair because it can be done to anyone with anyone depending on skill (if yoru Samus this satement is void, you situational whoremonger)

SSB 64 had DI. And, in my opinion it was better than Melee. I havent played brawl yet but i think it will be even better. But Nintendo should have made Z-/L- Cancelling the way it was in 64 instead of completly temoving it.

I'm pretty sure Jaime is well aware that there's DI in SSB64. Take another look at his wording and the fact that no DI is in quotes.

Your argument kind of lost all of its potential when you said melee characters were slow and clumsy.

brawl is fun, but the physics is all messed up. i wouldnt describe it as "slow and clumsy" though. Sheik and Pikachu remain all swift and stuff, but the movements are all crude and unrefined. bad description, but the best i can offer.
also they MAJORLY degraded Link's spin attack.
