No, this is not about particular inclusions but it is about how the fanbase has been condescended over the years, one example being a Nintendo America employee who was terminated for obvious reasons. The case, for years anybody that dared to question Sakurai was dismissed as salty or entitled "because their most wanted did not get in". When fans called out Sakurai contradicting himself with Chrom or his double standard with Ridley we were being gloated over. With the employee's statements public it gave the impression Sakurai hates the series, people do not accept his vision for it and he does indeed have a bad view on it because of the fans calling him out.
Fast forward 5 and a half years later and now we have Nintendo employees themselves doing the same thing some of them have criticised us about. This topic is to address the elephant in the room that Sakurai's entire philosophy around third party inclusions and how NINTENDO THEMSELVES are disregarding his vision, despite the fact at least one previously called us out and condescended us.
It is obvious other Nintendo employees would have had the same opinion so for years employees of the company have had the audacity to condescend and throw terms like "salty" or "entitled" as some kind of insult as if they are superior to people who make these criticisms but despite that, Nintendo employees are now hypocritcally going against Sakurai's vision on third parties and instead opting to throw characters in to say the name is in there.
I understand this will be controversial but it needs saying. Sakurai perceived third parties as special cases and included only the most iconic series and cult Japanese franchises while Nintendo seem to be picking characters almost to break fan rules. But they are not breaking fan rules, they are breaking Sakurai's rules and going against his vision. Has anybody else ever noticed this? He never would have added third parties at the expense of Nintendo's own franchises. He remembered this is a Nintendo franchise first and always put third parties as special cases.
