Hanafuda Playing Cards for Brawl?

I'm not exactly sure how the moveset would work.. But it probably is possible to make up one.
If you also have played Wario Ware: Smooth Moves.. there is a reference with the cards in one of 9-Volts minigames.
Now.. I know it sounds so out of this world. But for some odd reason I feel this could be a character in Brawl.. but as a the last super unlockable character.

Would any of us expect it?
Nope.. that is why I have this hunch it could happen.

I really need some of you who may think I am stupid to really think outside the box here..

Well... I'm all for Handfunda playing cards being prominently featured (like a stage akin to the opening of Casino Royale - that would be awesome), but as a playable???
I guess they could pull off a MR. G&W type character, with the various cards representing specific attacks... but yeah... I think it's better left in the realm of items, stages, etc.

Technically, they were never "On an nintendo system." (unless someone physically put them on top on an NES somewhere...)

Or some old woman living across the street spying on my home and then calling up the police..
I did search.. and pretty much found almost nothing. Yes some people may have mentioned it in other threads but this is it's own thread. Which does not exist.. even if it did a while ago. I guess I will believe you. What is the harm discussing it with members who haven't yet?

Would be interesting to see it as a minigame or maybe an item. You could even make a char out of it like floating cards (has that hover feeling like mewtwo) that use random deck special attacks (kinda like G&W judgement hammer) but that would be pretty weird.

No offense, but I was just pointed out that there was a Hanafuda thread before this one. It was centered around playing as Rainman (The man with Umbrella) and it used the other cards as moves. Birds and Ribbons and cherry blossoms and things.

Just sos you know, this is one of my very favorite ideas for a WTF character, after ROB the robot. If they decide to get rid of Game & Watch, A Hanafuda character would be awesome.

Feel free to continiue this thread, as the old thread is, well, old, but there are bound to be some interesting movesets and ideas in there. Take a look.

Maybe in Brawl there will be collectable cards (for some reason) and there could be a Hanafuda style card for all the characters. I'd dig that.

Good idea.. I was thinking that the trophies might be replaced with cards. I mentioned it here a while ago- Check it Out Of course they will probably have some sort of 3d model popup/hologram thing for them so you can look at models still.

Hanafuda cards should be an item. However, I'm sure Sakurai should be able to make the Napoleon on the Hanafuda cardset into a playable character, like he did with Mr. Game&Watch
