Hey Smashboardians,

I dont normally post here much, but I have some videos of me playing a friend or two and I was wondering if you have any pointers for me? I'd like to be a better Metaknight, and I know some good players read these forums...so yeah...here they are:

Vs Ike:

Vs Pit:

The Ike games are a bit older then the pit ones...so I've changed a bit since then...still let me know what you think...

Cheers,
Kulla

Well I'm not the best "critiquer" which is why I normally don't do it, but I'll throw it a shot.
First off, nice music choices. :)

Ground game:

Ftilt's and dtilt's really really help out your spacing on the ground. Switching up the first 2 hits of your ftilt with your dtilt is good ****. I saw you do a nice dash dance after a dthrow into another grab. I had to go back for a double take. Keep that up. You seem to connect really well with your fsmash. Save it if you can til higher percents. That'd be an excellent kill move to have that alot of MK users dont apply well.

Air game:

You seemed to get extroardinarily better with your aerial game after that first ike match. Read your opponent and airdodge more. You can buffer an attack so the instant frame you hit the floor after an airdodge, an attack will start. It works wonders with the dsmash. Just keep up with your follow ups in the air and you'll be fine.

Edgeguarding:

Edgeguarding ike isn't too hard when you figure it out. You seemed to have a little trouble in the first match but the 2nd one you seemed to have it down. Wait for him to initiate his Upb then just grab the ledge. If he manages to make it on the stage just come up with a fair or Upb to rack on some percent. If you time it right you can jump on grab him then get him back off again, while he still has afterlag.

You seemed to do well against pit. Try to dair him a couple of times so he loses an extra jump of recovery. You want him to have to resort to that upb so you can gimp him for the kill. You seemed to capitalize on a lot of things, so just keep that up.

All in all, you seem to know what you're doing, and do it pretty well. Just keep it up and practice hard. And no more arrogant threads. ^.^ Most people aren't gonna change their view on you from that, but meh. Just keep your game up.

Dojo out.
