It's the news gamers and*"Halo" fans have been hoping to hear Microsoft and company are working on a brand new*"Halo" game as well as*polishing up and re-releasing "Halo: Combat Evolved"*to mark the*10th anniversary of the original game's historic launch.
"Halo 4" is under way and will mark the dawn of a brand new trilogy,Microsoft*showed off a teaser trailer featuring the famed Master Chief and Cortana and revealed a launch*time*of holiday 2012.
Meanwhile, Microsoft revealed the much-rumored original 'Halo' revamp. The game will be called "Halo: Combat Evolved, Anniversary."
On a giant screen above a packed audience, they showed off the remastered game with its polished graphics (the old*Master Chief is now*looking good for his*age.)*And they*promised classic multiplayer maps that have been*enhanced and updated for Xbox Live, a fully remastered campaign, and co-op play over the*Xbox Live game service.
The game will launch Nov. 15th. Yes, it's actually been 10 whole years since it first launched on the original Xbox.
