Halo 3 - Too Overhyped?

Let me say right now I'm not a hardcore Halo fan. I can agree that a hardcore Halo fan would love any Halo game, just because it's Halo. I'm a Casual Halo Player (Ever heard of one of those?).

I played it yesterday, and while yes, the game looked GREAT! Great Water, Detail, Maps, everything. Also nice campaign mode, but has it occured to anyone that it was far too overhyped? I was truthfully dissappointed in it. Yes, the new features are nice, I like the Video Recording addition. But it felt... too alike to Halo 2. Not enough Change.

Now again, Halo 3 was amazing, and was worth 50 Bucks for sure, but was it a disappointement to any one else?

I consider myself a pretty hardcore Halo fan, but I do agree that the feel of Halo 3 didn't have as big of a jump from 2 to 3 as it did from 1 to 2, if that makes any sense.

I love the game, and if it wasn't for technical problems with my account on Xbox Live right now I'd still be playing pretty religiously online.

I think the Halo 3 mountain dew cans speak for themselves.

Its overhyped, but its fun, and thats whats important.
