So I'm playing a Wi-Fi match on my smexy new P:BR game. I'm up against this guy, SASUKE, who has a team of Leafeon, Jolteon, Espeon, Glaceon, Vaporeon, and Umbreon... All shiny... >_>

I pick my first 2, and then he finally picks one. I wait a second, and drop the two, and he drops his as well. Thinking nothing of it, I pick my starter, Zapdos, followed by Mewtwo and Kyogre (temp team, don't ask).

Match starts. It's a lvl 50 match, and start off with Thunder Wave for my first attack. He starts with Leafeon, and hits me with Grass Whistle. No big deal, it happens. I sleep through the next turn, and he uses Sword Dance. He attacks with Leaf Blade, and kills my Zapdos in one hit (even though it's not very effective, not that it really matters at this point. >_>). I bring out Mewtwo. He kills with X-scissor. Bring out Kyogre. Kills with Leafblade.

Has anyone come across anything else like this online yet? It's kinda dishearting that this new game is already effed with, ya know?

I don't really care that much even. Just wondering if anyone else has had any problems online yet.

The shiney part is a little weird...unless shiny status transfers over from breeding...

Do you EV train?

Grass Whistle OHKO'ing Zapdos - How? It's not very effective...

As far as Mewtwo and Kyogre - I believe they're weak on defense to physical attacks (I know Mewtwo is, not sure about Kyogre.) However, I'm fairly sure that Mewtwo would be faster than a Paralyzed Leafeon, and with a Flamethrower, he should do a lot of damage to it, if not an OHKO. Leaf Blade should, in theory, hit Kyogre pretty hard, especially if it Crits.

To the best of my knowledge, there are no codes to actually modify stats to 999 like there wasy in R/B/Y/G/S/C; I believe there is, however, a code that changes the 512 EV cap to 65,536. Whether that's being used or not is something I can't answer.

Another possibility is that you were up against an EV trained team with good IV's; Legendaries and Ubers often lack the latter.

It doesn't automatically transfer to hatched Pokemon if there's a shiny parent, though there's always a chance you hatch a Shiny. *Hugs shiny Gible*

I'm near certain EV's don't really take effect until 100ish. Don't hold me to that, I haven't been really EV training. Which is why I don't think these lvl 50 battles are very EV based. Again, I could be wrong.

I never paralyzed his Leafeon either. I was in queue(?) to hit him with a Thunderwave, but he got the grass whistle off first.

For those curious about my 3 pokes moveset...

Zapdos:
ThunderWave
ThunderBolt
Roar
U-turn

I love my Zapdos. Annoying as hell. ^_^

Mewtwo:
IceBeam
T.Bolt
Psychic
Recover

Haven't done much with him.

Kyogre:
WaterSpout
IceBeam
Surf
SheerCold

I plan on getting rid of SheerCold, but not sure for what. Thinking about getting a better natured Kyogre too, but not sure yet.

BTW: Thanks for not STFU noob-ing my topic. ;)
