I'm posting this thread because i'm going to be involved in running the smash bros and possibly many other fighting game tournaments at an anime convention that will be comming up in april.
A question was brought up about controllers being hacked so that in the respective games people can do things that just plainly make them win. I know this is called Moding the controllers.
I want to know if anyone knows if this is a problem in the fighting game community as a whole, if that can be done for any itteration of smash bros, and how you would check to make sure that the controller isn't changed so participants can't cheat in tournaments.
