So you've journeyed to this thread in hopes of using a Wii U Pro Controller or Wii Classic Controller Pro at your tournament. Unfortunately, there is no solution to make the Wii U Pro Controller wired. However, I have an alternative solution for those who love the layout of the Wii U Pro Controller, but wish to enter a tournament that only accepts wired. Before I get to the main solution, I'll go ahead and link to something called the Classic Linker.
What is it you might ask? Well, it allows you use a Classic Controller or Classic Controller Pro via a Gamecube adapter as it converts it to the Gamecube plug. You can purchase them here on PlayAsia.

For those who are wanting something a bit more luxury and better designed, I recommend getting a PS2 to Gamecube Adapter. Since you cannot use your Wii U Pro Controller in some tournaments, you will have to adapt and pick either the adapter I listed above, or the PS2 controller adapter which I recommend over the above option. (Both can use PS2, but the below option is a bit cheaper)
Why the PS2 Controller? Simple.
Outside of the shell being more smoother and comfortable, the Analog Sticks are much thicker and made of a higher quality as it was a more expensive controller compared to the 19.99$ Classic Controller Pro, thus meaning higher quality parts. It retains the diamond layout that's on the Wii U Pro Controller, and also keeps the shoulder buttons and doesn't have triggers. The face buttons are also faster to press and more smooth, and the shoulder buttons are larger and more comfortable compared to the Classic Controller Pro.
You can purchase an adapter here to use the PS2 controller on anything that has Gamecube ports.

I hope this thread helps anyone struggling with a lack of Pro Controller and helps give people other alternatives for tournaments that don't allow wireless controllers. If you have any questions, feel free to post.
