Guess who the next character to be revealed will be after Diddy/Dixie Kong

Who do you think has the best chance of being revealed next?
March has Yoshi's New Island released in NA, but there could be an anniversary during Feb that would warrant another character to be shown.

I'm thinking it's possible we could get a newcomer, like Palutena. The Kid Icarus Uprising anniversary is in March if I'm not mistaken, however that could also mean nothing whatsoever when it comes to reveals, so IDK. If we're getting a veteran I will bet on Yoshi.

There was some leak by supposedly some guy in the "sound department" who said that Mr. G&W will be revealed after Palutena.
I think it's utter baloney but, I can dream now can't I?

Mr. Game & Watch is such a unique character, I think he'll be in. Not sure if we'll see him that soon, but yes you can dream haha.

Considering no Earthbound character has been revealed, my guess is that Lucas will be next, and will just be a random "WTF" reveal.

Well technically, if Diddy/Dixie tag-team is revealed, we have already had a newcomer in a sense.
So maybe a veteran is the next bet.

In my opinion If Diddy is the next character reveled and Dixie is not brought in with him then the Second character reveled after that will probably be a newcomer. I am making the assumption that we will get 5 veterans between newcomers ala the number before Rosalina. However if another Veteran is reveled before Diddy then It is more likely that Dixie will be shown along side him or that the character reveled after that will be a newcomer.

Seems like you're dead-set on patterns and leaks being true. Funnily enough, the leak that claimed that Diddy Kong would be a partner character with Diddy Kong was already proved wrong, because it said that they were going to be revealed next (as in the place Lucario was revealed).

As for thinking there are patterns, I remember when we all thought that a Pokemon character would be revealed on or around Pokemon X/Y's release. That did not happen. So we can't assume for sure that Diddy Kong will be revealed next. He could be, and it seems logical, but it's not guaranteed.

With that, I can't even guess who would be revealed next.

Yea that leak is fake it also claim diddy kong would be after dedede but then lucario swoops in and kills that rumor

If we get a Direct that doesn't reveal Dixie, I think it's going to be Palutena.
If we don't, I expect either Ice Climbers, Meta Knight or ZSS as a random reveal.

I think it's been proven already that Sakurai doesn't care about anniversaries outside of the Smash series (and even that's not a given, seeing how Smash 64 anniversary had no reveal despite Brawl getting Lucario).

My bet is on Yoshi. Not because I'm a Yoshi fan, but simply because they don't have any other release to go by in March, and I don't think Sakurai cares about Pac-Man's PAL release (even IF Pac-Man gets in). Yoshi's New Island is the only Nintendo release in March that could have a potential new character reveal, even if it's not a Japan release.
